So, let’s get right to it. The standard Medicare premium will rise 3.1% in 2008, “…an increase of $2.90 a month….the smallest increase since 1999-2000),” to $96.40/month (see Standard Medicare Premium Will Rise 3.1% Next Year by ROBERT PEAR.

Of course private insurance companies on the open market will do as well, right?

Of course they won’t. Why not? Greed, excessive profits, waste.

Let’s watch what the average increase in health insurance premiums is in 2008. I am predicting double-digit increases, WAY in excess of inflation and actual increases in health care costs. Why? Greed, excessive profits, waste.
